• "Services" refers to the heritage record briefings, family archive workshops, and heritage record programmes offered by Bequestly.

2. Nature of Our Services

What Bequestly Provides

Bequestly provides educational and archival services in the area of family heritage record organisation. Our services are designed to help families arrange, label, and document family records — including photographs, letters, certificates, and keepsakes.

Our services are educational and archival in nature only. We do not provide legal advice, financial advice, accounting services, estate planning, or any form of professional advisory. Nothing communicated by Bequestly — verbally, in written materials, or through our website — constitutes professional advice on legal or financial matters.

If you require legal or financial guidance, we encourage you to consult a qualified professional who is registered to provide such services in Malaysia.

3. Bookings and Enquiries

Arranging a Session

Sessions are arranged through direct contact with our studio via the enquiry form on our website, by email, or by phone. Submitting an enquiry does not constitute a confirmed booking. A session is confirmed only once we have communicated a date, time, and any applicable fees to you, and you have indicated your acceptance.

We reserve the right to decline an enquiry if we determine that our services are not suited to the circumstances described, or if the requested scope falls outside our educational and archival offering.

4. Fees and Payments

Pricing and Payment Terms

Our current service fees are:

• Heritage Records Briefing — RM 480
• Family Archive Workshop — RM 1,650
• Heritage Records Programme — RM 4,300

All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of the materials described in our service descriptions. Fees may be revised from time to time; the fee applicable to your session is the one confirmed to you at the time of booking.

Payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking confirmation. We reserve the right to request a partial deposit before a session commences.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Changes to Confirmed Sessions

We understand that family circumstances can change. If you need to reschedule or cancel a confirmed session, please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected] or +60 4 2641 8593.

• Cancellations made with more than 5 working days' notice will be handled with a full discussion of available options, including rescheduling.
• Cancellations made with less than 5 working days' notice may be subject to a reasonable administrative fee to cover preparation already undertaken.
• We reserve the right to reschedule a session in the event of unforeseen circumstances on our part. In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer an alternative date at no additional cost.

6. Intellectual Property

Ownership of Materials

All content on this website — including text, design, layout, and images — is the property of Bequestly and may not be reproduced, redistributed, or used for commercial purposes without our written consent.

Printed materials, binders, and handbook templates provided as part of our services are prepared for your family's personal use. They may not be resold, republished, or used as the basis of a commercial offering.

Any family records, photographs, or documents you bring to a session remain entirely your property. We do not retain copies of personal documents beyond what is necessary to complete the session, unless you ask us to hold reference materials on your behalf.

We treat information shared with us during sessions — including family history, names, and the content of personal records — with care and discretion. This information is used solely to assist us in delivering your session effectively.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our Responsibility

Bequestly provides its services with care and attentiveness. However, because our services are educational and archival in nature, we do not accept responsibility for decisions made by clients based on materials or discussions from our sessions.

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Bequestly shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from the use of this website or engagement of our services.

Our total liability to you in connection with any single engagement shall not exceed the fee paid for that engagement.
